This is me meeting Jo Dee in Pittsburgh on Sept 21,2001. What a fabulous show she put on. Full of fire and energy. If you ever have the opportunity to meet ths fabulous lady, you will be surprised to findout that she is a cery down to earth person.

This picture was taken when I met Jo Dee in Delaware, it was pouring rain right before this. I had a present that I had made for her, and it was wrapped in newspaper so it wouldnt get wet. Jo Dee had just asked how long it took me to make her the present, I told her about 7 hours, she goes OH LORD!!!!, then Don took the picture. Jo Dee asked if I had a rain coat and I didnt so she goes, "Oh but you got a big ole umbrella??" She said it in her cartoon voice, I just about fell over. AH!!!

On July 4th, 2001, my best friend Sandy came up with the idea that we should take Samantha to the Jo Dee Messina concert at Langy Speedway. It was on July 29th, which happened to be Samantha's birthday. We drove down, and stayed a couple of nights. On the second night it started to rain, I prayed all night that it would stop, but knowing luvk it was still raining where the concert was to be held. We stood in the rain for at least an hour, when we got in Samantha got to go back and meet Jo Dee. When she came back Samantha grabbed me and said "Mom, Im never going to take a bath again" I asked her why?? She told me that Jo Dee had hugged her. That day was special for alot of reasons, but on that day Samantha gave Jo Dee an angel that we bought. Even though Jo Dee might not know it, she gave Samantha an angel that day too. I will always look back on that day and be grateful to Jo Dee for what she gave my daughter, and the best part is she didnt even know what she was doing, she can give a child a hug and it means the world to them. Jo Dee Messina is one of the only people that I have met, that does not judge people for what they wear, or what they look like. I love what she does for all her fans. Connie Johnson
