Hand painted, porcelain figures from France... The Epiphany is celebrated on January 6th each year—also known as Kings’ Day or Twelfth Night... The tradition, for the Epiphany, is to bake a "King Cake" with figures inside waiting to be found when the cake is eaten! The person finding a specific figure is proclaimed King (Or Queen) for the day... Before the commercialization of the holiday, in place of the figures, beans were used... In French, a "bean" is a "Feve"--hence the name for these figures!
