GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS HAS CONFIRMED THAT THE PARADE HELD IN DRESDEN ON JULY 24, 2010 HOLDS THE RECORD FOR THE “LARGEST PARADE OF TRACTORS” RECORD NUMBER OF 1231 TRACTORS!

WOWEE! FARMERS & TRACTOR DRIVERS ARE THE GREATEST!

If that isn’t exciting enough news, over $111,000 was raised for the Canadian Cancer Society for cancer research & donations are still coming in.

The parade committee would like to thank all of the tractor drivers who participated & all of the volunteers who helped us enormously. In fact the committee is overwhelmed by the support & patience of all the participants!

We want to thank all of the officials & photographers:

Driver photos were taken by Weese Photography—Paul & Jana Grubb captured a photo of each tractor as it crossed the starting point in Bill Glasgow’s field.

Members of the Chatham Camera Club: Matt Leung, Dave Noordhoff & Jim Pollock captured photos of the tractors just before they entered the track entrance.

What an amazing job they all did, (for 6 hours these photographers continued to snap the pictures that were sent to Guinness as evidence). The committee cannot thank them enough. These photos were used to provide each driver with a keepsake. Also a great big thank you goes out KODAK for sponsoring the driver photos!

We are still working on the video with the footage taken by the videographers Lloyd Elgie, Myriam Armstrong & Aaron Hall.

GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS STATUS UPDATE CONGRATULATIONS!!! TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATED WE HAVE THE NEW WORLD RECORD 1231 TRACTORS! IT’S OFFICIAL!

SARNIA SKYVIEW AIRCRAFT Unfortunately the weather conditions at the Sarnia airport on the day of the event made it impossible for the planes to take off & so the aerial photographer was not able to get any photos. Shortly after the event ended Ed Butler flew his plane over & risked losing his wife’s camera & got some overhead shots as the tractors were leaving.
