Official finish line count: 1231 tractors crossed the finish line!

If that isn’t exciting enough news, over $104,000 was raised for the Canadian Cancer Society for cancer research & donations are still coming in. MORE SPONSOR INFORMATION COMING SOON!

The parade committee would like to thank all of the tractor drivers who participated & all of the volunteers who helped us enormously. In fact the committee is overwhelmed by the support & patience of all the participants!

SARNIA SKYVIEW AIRCRAFT An aerial flying formation club has generously pledged their support! At 12:30pm a group of the pilots will be flying over the racetrack in formation, to entertain the parade observers while the tractors are en route from the marshalling area until the time that they arrive at the fairgrounds. Before the fly over they will be taking aerial photographs of the entire field of tractors at the marshalling grounds. Upon completion of the parade the pilots will return to take aerial shots of the entire group of tractors assembled on the racetrack.

Allen Thompson of Dresden was the 1st to officially register his tractor for the parade, a 1949 International H. Congratulations Al! Ken Cook of Sombra has officially registered & so has Randy Meyskens of Dresden.  508 tractors & drivers officially registered: That’s only 94 more needed for the record!

DRESDEN KINSMEN CLUB will be providing a food booth on the parade marshalling grounds. On Saturday coffee & doughnuts will be available in the morning from 9am-11:30am & from 11:30am-2:30pm they will be selling hot dogs & hamburgers. The Kinsmen have offered to donate a generous share of the profits to the Canadian Cancer Society!

CELEBRITY DRIVERS! Bev Shipley MP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex is really looking forward to driving a tractor in the parade because “once a farmer always a farmer”!

Bob Bailey MPP for Sarnia-Lambton is signed up & looking forward to driving a John Deere in the parade!

2 of the TEAM FARMALL from Teeswater have signed up to participate in the parade!

CHALLENGE I am not sure who challenged who but there is a battle going on between Lambton farmers & Kent farmers to see who can put the most tractors in the parade.

Maria Van Bommel MPP for Lambton-Kent-Middlesex is excited to be participating in the parade.

REX CRAWFORD is registering 3 tractors for the parade!

PRIZE NEWS:

PEACHTREE INN in Kingston has donated accommodations for two in a chalet suite which includes deluxe continental breakfast for two.

DETROIT RED WINGS donated an autographed photo of Kris Draper

The committee is grateful to the following individuals who be providing visual evidence to Guinness with their special talents:

PHOTOGRAPHY: Paul Weese of Dresden will be providing his professional photographic services on the day of the event.

Jim Pollock of the Chatham Camera Club will also be providing his photographic expertise on the day of the event.

VIDEOGRAPHY: Aaron Hall of the Chatham Kent Daily Post has agreed to document the parade in video format.

SOUTHWEST AG PARTNERS INC are donating $1 for every tractor that participates in the parade!

PROFOTA’S FARM EQUIPMENT have registered 13 tractors for the parade!

SIMON CROUCH voice of the FARM REPORT has agreed to be an official Guinness witness & judge.

CFCO will be reporting live from the marshaling grounds at 29123 Van Allen Road!

CKXS will be reporting live from the grandstand at the Dresden Racetrack!
