The FA-MAS being adopted by the french army in 1979 is a bullpup type rifle which has the magazine joint at the rear of the trigger and has a nickname of trumpet because of its unique apperance. Although the overall lenght is shorter than the conventional rifles, the barrel lenght is the same permitting high target hitting ratio. It has as extremely high full auto firing speed of 1000 bullets per minute, which is a unique feature of the FA-MAS, not comparable with any other models.
Tokyo Marui has released two types, those are, the FA-MAS 5.56 F1 which is now used by the French army and navy and the FA-MAS Super Version (G1) which has a uniquely shaped, large sized trigger guard. These models have long barrels as in the case of the real rifle. The built in variable HOP-UP system surely ensures a long shooting range and high target hitting ratio. Furthermore, a high-torque motor is adopted for the FA-MAS 5.56 F1, achieving firing of more BB per battery charge, making it a ideal game tool.
