On May 26th I obtained a new camera. This was a Panasonic SuperVHS with a better zoom capability.
I set up my camera on the north shore at about 8 p.m. People were constantly walking behind me and enquiring as to what I was "aiming at" or "filming," or whatever. It was quite difficult to concentrate on finding the "objects" out over the lake through the viewfinder, with all this inquisition going on!!!
However, at about 8.15 p.m. a brilliant, orangey-red light appeared. This was not in the same location as the objects that I had videotaped on the 21st and 22nd of May.
However, at about 8.15 p.m. a brilliant, orangey-red light appeared. This short clip shows how bright the object/light source was in comparison to the distant shoreline. The light continued to brighten and increase in size, and then, like the lights of previous evenings, dulled down to a normal-looking "shoreline" light after darkness fell.
