On June 19th. 1997, we were on the north shore of Lake Ontario in Oakville, facing towards Hamilton. The video camera was mounted on a sturdy tripod which was standing on a gravel path. It was a fairly mild evening and there were people walking along the path, crossing in front of the camera's viewfinder. When people passed by there was audible "crunching" sound as their feet travelled over the stones. Also, the lights on the Hamilton side of the lake would be blotted out as people crossed in front of the viewfinder. When I played back the Super VHS tape the following evening, a strange anomaly turned up at 9.29pm on the footage. Some sort of light-coloured band appears on the left part of the screen. Then from the right, two vague head-like anomalies appear. The first one stops and seems to wait for a moment, and then the second one follows on behind, moving out of the screen to the left. I was standing some way behind the camera talking to my colleague.The whole sequence only lasts about nine seconds. We were located a few yards down the hill from the Oakville Historical Society
