Orbwatch Members Report No.12

2nd May 1997

MEMBERS PRESENT: J.J., D.M. AND D.M.

WEATHER CONDITIONS: Mild at around 10 degrees. However, the air was very damp, with the appearance of rain on the eastern end of the lake. Small waves on the lake, but peaceful. No planes around this evening. Large group of partygoers down on the beach below us. They don't appear to have weather gear, so probably won't be here too long. They have inquired as to what we are watching!

SET-UP AT SITE: 20.15 hrs. D.S.T.

Slight amount of rain, but we get out all the gear, covering up binoculars and video equipment with plastic sheets etc.

20.48 h. Large orange orb appeared. Very bright and quite close to our horizon. Sat and glowed for about one and a half minutes.

Subsequent appearances at: 20.52 h. 20.54 h.

Then untimed double event with the appearance of two huge half moons, quite close together and near to our horizon.

The BOYS didn't hang around too much tonight. Maybe they didn't like the weather conditions!! (BOYS is familiar term for the ORBS.)

Packed up after virtually no more activity at around 22.00 h.

JJ
