Doc is the resident clown. He has a very good memory and enjoys working, though you wouldn't know it to look at him. He is an absolute carting fool and gets very excited whenever a harness appears.
Doc stands about 26" tall and weighs around 105 pounds. He has a lovely head, scissors bite, with full dentition, good neck and beautiful front angles. His bone is very good and he has lots of body. He is slightly straight in stifle. Tail carriage is good, his coat is slightly wavy and he moves very well, though can be a bit loose in front when tired. Most of the time, he's quite bouncy, often spring loaded.
When we started doing draft work, Doc was the first dog I trained for it. To say that he enjoys it is an understatement of epic proportions. If I so much as touch a harness, he's up and ready to work, trying to get to me before I choose another dog. In the beginning, he believed that all drafting was meant to be a chariot race, but maturity, training, and extra weight in the cart have slowed him to a moderate working pace... most of the time.
Doc has hips, elbows and shoulders OVC clear, eyes checked annually and heart checked by a cardiologist.
