Many thanks to Simone and Jan Alderliesten of Sennwarts kennel in Holland for sending us this beautiful baby. He is everything we were hoping for, from a wonderful pedigree with long-lived dogs.
He stole our hearts the moment that he marched out, tail wagging, when we opened his kennel door at the airport. He is a confident boy, taking everything in stride.
Crusader (called Cruiser for short) is a fun boy and very smart. He loves to play with the water hose and even likes the dog dryer.
Cruiser has a lovely head with a good body and strong bone. Even as a young puppy he settled into a beautiful, smooth trot. He is a bit wide between the shoulder blades, but it does not affect his movement. His tail carriage is beautiful. We are very excited about this boy. At 2 1/2 years, he stands about 25" tall and weighs about 105 lbs.
On May 30th, 2010, despite the heat, Cruiser won his Draft Dog title and on July 11th, just a few days after his second birthday, he finished his conformation championship. Now on to obedience.
Clearances: Hips OFA Good, elbows and shoulders normal. Crus is DNA clear for vWD. Eyes are normal, heart cleared by a cardiologist. DM carrier.
