Primus Canada Strengthens Commitment to Environment
with Evergreen Partnership

Toronto, Canada (May 22, 2007) – Primus Telecommunications Canada Inc. (Primus Canada) today announced a partnership with environmental organization Evergreen, strengthening Primus’ commitment to environmental sustainability and contributing funds to further enable Evergreen’s initiatives.

Evergreen (www.evergreen.ca) is a national, non-profit environmental organization with a mandate to engage communities in greening urban spaces. As a major supporter, Primus Canada will now donate funds monthly to Evergreen to help support national projects designed to create greener communities, such as funding for greening of schools and public spaces.

“Green space and access to nature is crucial to the health of our cities and communities,” says Geoff Cape, executive director, Evergreen. “Primus Canada’s support of Evergreen’s mandate and its extensive environmental initiatives gives both customers and employees the opportunity to take action and make a difference every day.”

In addition to financial contributions to Evergreen, Primus continues to take its own steps on the environmental front. In May 2002, the company launched e-billing and today, over 100,000 residential customers receive their monthly invoices via e-mail instead of via traditional paper mail. The initiative has allowed Primus to decrease print package mailings by over three million units since 2002.

To encourage additional customers to switch to paperless billing, Primus will now offer residential customers savings of $0.50 per e-bill. Residential customers who wish to receive paper bills will have a $0.50 charge applied per paper invoice.

“Primus is committed to doing its part to reduce paper use and advance environmental restoration,” said Rob Warden, Vice President Residential Marketing, Primus Canada. “Through our partnership with Evergreen, we are happy to help fund the organization’s many important initiatives and we are offering our customers a new way to contribute too.”
