Welcome to my vanity web page. It's mainly here because I like messing with the technology from time to time. You will find here a collection of things I'm interested in. If you're interested in some of these things and would like to talk about them or ask questions send me e-mail.
GFMSThe Greenbank Folk Music Society: Once a month on a Saturday evening there is nothing more enjoyable than taking in a show at the Greenbank Centennial Hall. At Greenbank I've been entertained by Ken Whiteley, Mose Scarlett, Chris Whiteley, Dan Whiteley, (those Whiteleys are pretty talented), Don Ross, Stephen Fearing, Jughead, Oliver Schroer, Rick Fielding, Bob Snider, Ken Hamm, Fred Eaglesmith, Penny Lang and a host of others.

The Woods The Woods Music and Dance Camp Summer camp for adults! I can't think of a finer way to spend a week each summer than playing, learning and living music in Ontario cottage country with some of the greatest people on earth.

Me and Famoudou West African Percussion caught my attention some time ago and in 2002 I started investigating it more closely. Since that time I have been taking lessons in Toronto with Michael McLarty and have attended workshops with Mohamed Diaby and Famoudou Konate. (That's me and Famoudou in the picture.) I've also reheaded a couple of drums and built my own djembe from a roughed out shell that was imported from Africa.

Mudcat The Mudcat Cafe This is by far the best source on the internet for finding information about folk music. There is a lyric search facility and a wonderful discussion area. If you love folk music don't overlook this site.

Do you enjoy swing music? Come join the fun that is Club Django! From a desire to play the music of Django Reinhardt to dream of sharing this music with others. Congratulations André!

Jughead Jughead: "The best motorgrass band in the world!" I've spent many enjoyable Saturday afternoons at a Jughead Matinee. Check out their home page for matinee dates, concert schedule and lots of other Jughead information. All drink!

Chipping Away Chipping Away: Late in 1997, while channel surfing, I caught a glimpse of an instructional video on chip carving and thought "There's something I can do". I bought the knives, some practice boards, a book, a compass etc. and signed up for a 2 day course with Dennis Moor of Chipping Away. Dennis told me all I would ever need would be 2 knives. As it turned out I have way more than 2 knives plus assorted gouges and even some power tools. That Dennis is one heck of a salesman. I don't do much chip carving any more as I've branched off into other forms of carving but I'm having a great time. Thanks Dennis.

The Toronto Blues Society: Since 1985 the Toronto Blues Society has promoted blues music in Toronto and the surrounding area..

Turtle Trax: An amazing labour of love for an endangered species and a masterful example of the use of html. Don't miss visiting Turtle Trax! (Did I mention I like this site?)

Even I can create an urban myth. Find out How the Chicken Got Its Lips.
