When I first arrived in Poona.. Aug '78.. After I had
taken Sannyas I wrote Osho a humongous letter.. four or five pages..
everything.. At the following Darshan I was called to come forward. I was of
course expecting that Osho would give me a long and detailed answer to the
letter.. I stood there expectantly but he said nothing. Finally I stammered:
"I wrote you a letter," to which he said: "Mmmm.." I stood
there for a few moments not knowing what to say and then went and sat down
again.
A month later, when it was time to leave to return to the
West I was all packed and decided I was too busy to go to discourse
that morning, but at the very last minute I changed my mind and rushed to
Buddha Hall arriving just in time to sit way in the back. To my immense
surprise Osho had taken part of my letter and made a question of it. He spoke,
it seemed just to me, for a long time.. I felt so blessed.. Pieces of his
answer come to me from time to time.. My favorite: "Therapies were not
needed in the world when people just for life were grateful. Were singing
songs of joy in their hearts."
